BIO:

Gary Ando has been in and out of the Detroit music scene playing guitar since the early 90's. The past four years he has also been playing bass  guitar, slide, and a little drums. Most of the bands associated with in the past were punk, hard rock, glitter and glam stuff. But ... alot of the music that he really loves to play and listen to is from the country side of the tracks. Stuff with a lot of slide guitar and open tunings. But it just ain't easy to find people who like that stuff in Detroit - Garage City. Consequently, past bands have been on the harder side. But, there is a broad list of bands & music that he plays & loves.

Currently Gary is looking for people who want to form a rock band with a  country  flavor. (with genorous helpings of slide guitar & Chuck Berry riffs). Honkey Tonk Rock... for lack of a better phrase. He plays both slide & standard guitar as well as bass. Some influences for the direction he'd like to go in include; The Stones (early 70's), The Faces, early Rod Stewart, Gram Parsons & the Flying Burrito Brothers, Izzy Stradlin & The Ju Ju Hounds, The Black Crowes, The Jayhawks, Dogs D'Amour, London Quireboys, Johnny Cash, The Hangmen, etc. ... (There are many more influences listed below for the interested punks)

REVIEW:

Tasty, rollicking and rockin' licks reminiscent of old school rock yet with enough flavor to keep your interest and get you moving. A very good debut from an incredible player.
